The engine bay was considerably damaged by the fire.  Almost all wiring, rubber hoses, lines, and plastic pieces were burned or melted.

I removed the engine and all the panels around the engine bay, including the fenders and front grill assembly.  The engine bay was stripped to bare metal, any area that had rust was sanded to clean metal, treated with a phosphoric acid treatment, and then the entire engine bay was primered with Rustoleum and then painted with Krylon 1613 semi-gloss black.  Krylon 1613 is MCA approved as an engine bay color.

I purchased a good headlight harness, new battery wiring, new starter solenoid, all new rubber hoses, new wiring clips, windshield washer bottle and lines, voltage regulator, shocks and an export brace.  Any metal parts were cleaned and detailed as appropriate, and most hardware was cleaned and detailed as well.

On the front of the car, a good used grill was installed with all new grill molding and trim, a new bumper, bumper bolts, and lower splash pan.
