| And, finally, pictures of the fire damage. The battery was not strapped in, and during the minor collision, the battery tipped forward and shorted out against the hood. The ensuing fire burned all the wiring, hoses, and anything plastic on the passenger side of the engine compartment as well as much of the driver side. The fire penetrated the firewall and ruined the dash pad, the wiring under the dash, the windshield wiper, the original air conditioning system and all ductwork. | ||
